Standard Horizon Loudhailers: Clear Communication on the Water

When it comes to onboard communication, few names carry as much credibility as Standard Horizon. Long regarded as one of the marine electronics industry's most trusted manufacturers, Standard Horizon has built its reputation on rugged, purpose-built equipment designed to perform in the demanding marine environment — and their loudhailers are a natural extension of that legacy.

What Is a Marine Loudhailer?

A loudhailer — sometimes called a hailer or hailer horn — is an essential piece of onboard safety and communication equipment. It allows a vessel's crew to project voice commands, fog signals, or alert tones to other boaters, dockworkers, or passengers at a distance that a standard voice simply cannot reach. On busy waterways, in poor visibility, or during docking maneuvers, a quality loudhailer can make the difference between a smooth operation and a dangerous miscommunication.

Standard Horizon's Approach to Loudhailer Performance

Standard Horizon integrates loudhailer functionality with the same engineering discipline that defines their broader marine communications lineup. Their loudhailer systems are designed to deliver clear, high-output audio even against wind noise, wave action, and engine rumble — the real-world conditions mariners face every day. Key features found in Standard Horizon loudhailer products include:

• High-wattage audio output for long-range voice projection across open water
• Built-in fog horn and PA modes that meet U.S. Coast Guard signaling requirements
• Durable, weather-resistant construction suited for saltwater and freshwater environments alike
• Compatibility with Standard Horizon VHF radios, allowing seamless integration with existing onboard communication systems
• Hailer horn designs built to withstand UV exposure, spray, and vibration over extended use

Why Choose Standard Horizon for Your Loudhailer Needs?

Standard Horizon has spent decades refining marine communication technology, and that expertise shows in even their focused accessory products. Their loudhailers aren't afterthoughts — they're engineered components meant to work within a complete onboard communication ecosystem. Whether you're outfitting a center console, a cruiser, or a working vessel, a Standard Horizon loudhailer delivers the dependability you need when clear communication matters most.

For boaters who already rely on Standard Horizon VHF radios and marine electronics, pairing a Standard Horizon loudhailer ensures consistent performance and simplified installation. Explore the full range of marine loudhailers to find the right solution for your vessel's communication setup.
