It uses marine grade UV stabilized glass-filled polyester construction along with the Easy Lock System. A soft touch cap stays open in the upright position, the cap is watertight, and a 4-way right angle rear safety enclosure protects the wiring connections. The white housing with stainless trim is a popular match for most boat finishes.
That combination of features matters in practice. Inlets live outdoors, exposed to sun, spray and temperature swings, and a cap that stays out of the way makes plugging in easier when you are juggling lines and fenders at the dock.
EEL Shorepower Cordsets

It features watertight molded plug and connector ends, heavy-duty, super flexible marine grade 10 gauge cable, and corrosion-resistant, nickel-plated contacts. Flexibility is a real advantage here, since conventional shore power cords can be stiff and heavy, and a cord that coils and handles easily is less likely to be left strained or kinked on the dock.
What to Consider When Choosing 30A Shore Power Parts
- Match the service: A 30A, 125V inlet pairs with a 30A, 125V cordset. Larger boats with 50 amp service need different hardware or adapters.
- Check the cord length: Measure from your usual dock pedestal to the boat inlet, leaving slack for tides and wakes.
- Look at construction: UV-stabilized housings, watertight caps and corrosion-resistant contacts all extend service life in a salt or freshwater environment.
- Replace as a set: If an inlet shows cracking, discoloration or heat damage, inspect the cord end and wiring behind it as well.
