Engineered Marine Products 1300-36040 Marine Knock Sensor for Big Block V8 Engines

The Engineered Marine Products 1300-36040 is a direct-replacement marine knock sensor designed for large displacement GM V8 marine engines, including MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, and OMC sterndrive applications. The knock sensor continuously monitors the engine block for detonation and pre-ignition events, sending a precise signal to the engine control module (ECM) to retard ignition timing as needed — protecting internal engine components and optimizing performance across varying fuel conditions and load levels.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM replacement knock sensor for big block GM marine V8 engines
• Compatible with 454 EFI, 454 MAG, 500 Bulldog EFI, 502 MAG, 7.4L, and 8.2L engine configurations
• Detects engine knock and detonation across a broad range of operating frequencies
• Sends accurate signal to the ECM for real-time ignition timing correction
• Built to withstand the demanding marine environment
• Cross References: Replaces MerCruiser 805544T / 8M0077616, Sierra 18-7703, Mallory 9-33500, OMC 3854512, Volvo Penta 3854512
