Engineered Marine Products 47-47228 Suzuki Outboard Water Pump Impeller

The Engineered Marine Products (EMP) 47-47228 is a replacement water pump impeller designed for Suzuki outboard engines. EMP impellers are precision-manufactured to meet demanding marine industry standards, delivering reliable cooling system performance in both freshwater and saltwater environments.

The water pump impeller is a critical component of your outboard's cooling system. It circulates water from the lower unit through the engine to prevent overheating. Regular inspection and replacement of the impeller is essential preventive maintenance — worn or degraded impeller blades can reduce water flow, leading to engine overheating and potential damage.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit replacement impeller for compatible Suzuki outboard engines
• Engineered to OEM specifications for proper fit and function
• Flexible rubber blade construction designed to maintain a tight seal within the water pump housing
• Resistant to the corrosive effects of saltwater and marine environments
• Manufactured by Engineered Marine Products (EMP), a trusted aftermarket marine parts supplier

Routine impeller replacement is recommended annually or every 100 hours of operation. Impeller blades can harden, crack, or deform over time — particularly if the engine sits unused for extended periods — reducing cooling efficiency. Replacing the impeller proactively helps protect your Suzuki outboard from heat-related damage.
