Rupes Usa

RUPES is a family-owned and operated Italian company founded in 1947 in Milan, with a commitment to product innovation and quality manufacturing that has defined it as a worldwide benchmark manufacturer of professional electric and pneumatic tools. The brand name itself reflects this heritage—RUPES is an acronym that in Italian means Manufacturer of Specialty Pneumatic and Electric Tools.

Revolutionary Polishing Systems

With its revolutionary BigFoot Random Orbital Polishing system based on a large diameter random orbital movement, RUPES set the bar in the world of car finishing and detailing. These industry-leading polishers combine advanced technology with ergonomic design, delivering professional-grade paint correction capabilities that appeal to both seasoned detailers and enthusiasts. The BigFoot line features innovative long-throw orbital designs that remove defects efficiently while minimizing the risk of swirl marks or paint damage—a breakthrough that transformed modern automotive detailing when introduced.

American Manufacturing Excellence

The company bolstered the RUPES brand in the U.S. by acquiring Cyclo in 2015 and reincorporating it as RUPES USA, then moved to a new 33,000-square-foot facility in Louisville. This domestic manufacturing capability ensures faster delivery and responsive customer service for North American markets. RUPES manufactures all of the polishers and sanders sold in the U.S., including the Cyclo tool, in its Louisville facility, while also expanding production capacity with additional facilities focused on consumables like polishing compounds and foam pads.

Professional-Grade Innovation

Over the years RUPES has developed a wide number of patents and created several solutions which have contributed to simplifying work and increasing performances. From random orbital and rotary polishers to dual-action gear-driven models, the brand offers specialized tools for every paint correction challenge. Rupes introduced the world's first electric random orbital sander (the BR 8) in 1968, completely changing the world of sanding—evidence of the company's decades-long commitment to advancing professional tool technology.

Complete Detailing Ecosystem

Beyond the machines themselves, RUPES has engineered a comprehensive system of color-coded polishing pads, cutting-edge compounds, microfiber accessories, and dust extraction solutions. This full-system approach ensures compatibility and optimal performance across all components. Whether tackling heavy paint defects with coarse cutting compounds or achieving mirror-like finishes with ultra-fine polishes, RUPES provides professional detailers with every tool needed to deliver showroom-quality results on automotive paint, marine surfaces, RVs, and industrial applications.

The Rupes D-A Intermediate Foam Polishing Pad is designed for use with dual-action polishers to deliver optimal paint correction results. This 70mm light blue pad fills the gap between fine polishing and heavy cutting applications, making it ideal for removing moderate paint defects while leaving an excellent finish.

Key Features:

 • 70mm diameter fits Rupes iBrid Nano and other compact dual-action polishers
 • Intermediate density foam balances cutting power with finishing capability
 • Light blue color for easy identification in your detailing arsenal
 • Open-cell foam structure promotes consistent polish distribution and heat dissipation
 • Hook and loop backing for quick pad changes during multi-step correction
 • Four-pack quantity provides excellent value for professional detailers

This intermediate pad is positioned between the D-A Fine (yellow) pad for final polishing and the D-A Coarse (blue) pad for heavy defect removal. It excels at removing light to moderate swirls, scratches, and oxidation while preparing the surface for a final finishing step. The foam composition is engineered to work efficiently with a wide range of compound and polish formulations.

Thank you 4 making it all doable.

Good

Super fast and easy! Just like I like my car.

Overall experience was good until we had to return the item because it wouldn't work with the seat we had. Problem is that when we tred to get the specs on the item you didn't have any of the measurements available. So I was told that if it didn't work I could retun it. When I did you said it was because I ordered wrong so I would be charged to return it. It was wrong because you didn't have any info on the actual size and the only way to see if it would work was to order it.

Excellent service

easy to use and good pricing! Chat was great too!
