Product Details

The KeelShield KS8DGY-DP is an 8-foot keel guard designed to protect the bottom keel of your boat from damage caused by launching, beaching, and trailering. Constructed from a durable, flexible polymer material, KeelShield bonds directly to the hull and conforms to the keel's shape, providing a tough sacrificial barrier between your boat and abrasive surfaces.

Key Features:

  • 8-foot length provides coverage for a wide range of boat hull sizes
  • Gray color finish blends naturally with most hull colors
  • Flexible, impact-absorbing material cushions the keel against rocks, sand, concrete ramps, and trailer bunks
  • Pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for a secure, long-lasting bond to fiberglass, aluminum, and other hull surfaces
  • Tapered edges reduce drag and integrate smoothly with the hull profile
  • UV-resistant construction resists fading and deterioration from sun and water exposure
  • Helps maintain resale value by protecting against keel gouges and scratches

The KeelShield KS8DGY-DP installs without special tools and is a cost-effective way to preserve your hull's integrity season after season. It is ideal for bass boats, jon boats, aluminum fishing boats, and fiberglass runabouts that frequently use concrete or gravel boat ramps.

The turbo (s475sx-e) has been my best purchase this year. The order was placed at the end of the workday and Thmotorsports shipped it the very next morning, also the box arrived in magnificent condition, the turbo was picture perfect without a blemish. Thmotorsports was the most affordable out of all ten sites that were considered, with top notch shipping. I have to say Thmotorsports was the best choice for my genuine part.
