Wichard 1406W Captive Pin D Shackle 12mm 316L Stainless Steel Marine

The Wichard 1406W Captive Pin D Shackle is a precision-forged marine shackle designed for demanding sailing and rigging applications. Manufactured from Grade 316L stainless steel, this shackle delivers exceptional corrosion resistance in saltwater environments while maintaining high load-bearing strength.

The defining feature of this shackle is its captive pin design, which keeps the pin permanently connected to the shackle body at all times—even when fully opened. This eliminates the risk of losing the pin overboard during rigging operations, making it an ideal choice for offshore sailing and frequent use applications.

Key Features:

• Forged from Grade 316L stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance in marine environments
• Captive pin design — pin remains attached to the body even when the shackle is open
• 12mm (15/32") pin diameter for robust load capacity
• D-shackle (bow shackle) profile for inline load applications
• Smooth, polished finish reduces wear on lines and sails
• Meets rigorous marine industry standards for strength and reliability
