Wichard 1445W Captive Pin Bow Shackle 10mm Stainless Steel Marine

The Wichard 1445W Captive Pin Bow Shackle is a 10mm (13/32") drop-forged marine shackle trusted by riggers and sailors worldwide for its legendary quality, smooth contours, and superior corrosion resistance. Designed and manufactured in France, this shackle delivers the precision engineering and beautiful polish Wichard is renowned for.

The captive pin design keeps the pin permanently connected to the shackle body at all times — even when fully opened — eliminating the risk of dropping the pin overboard. The pin locks securely into one of the body's indentations, preventing accidental loosening from vibration or load cycling. The bow (omega) shape provides ample room for attaching multiple lines or cables simultaneously.

Key Features:

• Drop-forged grade 316L stainless steel construction for outstanding strength and corrosion resistance
• Captive pin — pin remains attached to the body even when fully opened, no risk of loss
• Pin locks into body indentations, eliminating loosening from vibration
• Bow (omega) shape — ideal when ample room is required or multiple lines need attaching
• Single-handed operation for added safety and convenience
• Passivated finish for superior marine-grade corrosion resistance
• CE marked — meets European safety standards
• Outstanding Working Load Limit (WLL) and breaking load ratings
• Safety factor of 5:1 (WLL = breaking load ÷ 5)
• Designed and made in France

Important: Working Load Limit (WLL) is rated for industrial applications only (e.g., lifting). The safety factor is 5 times the breaking load.

Wichard captive pin bow shackles are the go-to choice for professional riggers, offshore sailors, and marine hardware applications demanding reliability, ease of use, and uncompromising quality.
