Wichard 2471W HR Snap Shackle with Fixed Eye 2" 50mm

The Wichard 2471W is a 2-inch (50mm) High Resistance snap shackle with a fixed eye, precision hot-forged from Grade 17.4 PH (HR) stainless steel for superior strength and long-term corrosion resistance in demanding marine environments. Designed and manufactured in France, this shackle delivers a Working Load Limit (WLL) of 2,116 lbs with excellent breaking load margins, making it a trusted choice for sailboat rigging, halyard attachment, and other marine hardware applications where free rotation of the attachment point is not required.

Key Features:

• Hot-forged from Grade 17.4 PH High Resistance (HR) stainless steel for maximum strength-to-weight ratio
• Fixed eye design — ideal for applications where free rotation is not needed
• Captive plunger pin cannot become detached from the hook, preventing loss at sea
• Easy single-handed release by pulling the plunger pin; ring accepts a release lanyard for remote or load-under-tension operation
• Excellent working and breaking load ratings with visible deformation before failure — will not break suddenly
• 50mm (approximately 2 inches) overall length
• Designed and manufactured in France to strict quality standards

The Wichard 2471W is built for sailors and riggers who demand reliable, quick-release hardware. The captive plunger pin and lanyard-compatible ring make it suitable for spinnaker halyards, trapeze systems, and other performance sailing applications where a fast, confident release is critical.
