Product Details

The Lewmar Anchor Safety Strap with PVC coating is a critical safety device designed to prevent accidental anchor deployment when your anchor is not in use. This safety strap prevents the anchor from deploying if it is unintentionally released or powers out accidentally, providing essential peace of mind while at rest or underway.

Key Features:

  • Simple clip-on design attaches to the chain, shackle, or anchor
  • Durable PVC coating protects against corrosion and provides a secure grip
  • Essential safety device for boats with windlass anchor systems
  • Built to withstand harsh marine environments

Lewmar recommends securing the anchor to the boat when not in use, as the windlass is not designed to hold the anchor to the boat when not in use. This safety strap clips easily onto your anchoring system and provides reliable backup security. Note that safety straps do not secure the anchor in the bow roller—they are specifically designed to prevent unintended anchor deployment.

I found the part I need for my boat at Boatplicity and placed the order. The price was fair and I received the part in just a few days. It was exactly the part I needed and worked great. I would recommend Boatolicity for all your boating needs.
