Product Details

The Ultra-Fab 48-979551 is a fully loaded trailer hub and drum assembly engineered for 6,000 lb capacity axles. Built from solid grey iron, the precision-machined hub and drum deliver consistent stopping performance and extended brake life for RVs, boat trailers, and utility trailers.

Key Features:

  • Fully Loaded Assembly: Comes pre-packed with inner and outer bearing races, bearings, grease seals, and grease already in place — ready for immediate installation
  • Complete Hardware Kit Included: Box includes cone wheel nuts, hub cap, and cotter pin — everything needed to mount the hub to the spindle
  • Heavy-Duty Grey Iron Construction: Fully integrated casting and machining for maximum brake effectiveness and long service life
  • 6,000 lb Capacity: Rated for 6,000 lb axles with a 6-lug, 6" x 5.5" bolt pattern
  • 12" Brake Compatibility: Designed specifically for use with 12" trailer drum brakes
  • Stud Spec: 1/2"-20 threaded wheel bolts
  • 5-Year Warranty: Backed by Ultra-Fab's industry-leading 5-year warranty

This hub and drum assembly eliminates the time-consuming task of individually sourcing and packing bearings and hardware. It is an ideal direct replacement for worn or damaged hub and drum assemblies on 6K trailer axles.
