Product Details

The CMP CMEZ0 is a zinc pencil anode designed for use in saltwater engine cooling systems. Zinc anodes provide sacrificial cathodic protection, corroding preferentially to protect metal engine components from electrolytic corrosion damage in salt water environments.

Key Features:

  • Material: Zinc — the correct metal for saltwater (salt/brackish water) corrosion protection
  • Outside Diameter: 3/8 inch
  • Length: 1-3/4 inches
  • Thread Size: 5/16 inch UNC (Unified National Coarse)
  • Designed for installation in engine cooling system anode ports
  • For use in saltwater only — zinc is the proper alloy for saline environments

Pencil anodes like the CMEZ0 are a critical part of routine marine engine maintenance. They should be inspected regularly and replaced when more than 50% consumed to ensure continuous protection of cooling passages and internal engine metal surfaces from galvanic corrosion.

I ordered the products, the products were delivered, and I was satisfied. A good transaction.

I've had nothing but oof experiences doing business with THMotorsports. Best price for spark plugs out of anyone else. Fastest shipping with reasonable rates.

Showed up a day ahead of schedule, nice, thanks!

I ordered tires for my boat trailer. They arrived three days later and were the correct tire and size. They were also the cheapest price I could on-line. I was extremely pleased with my first purchase on boatplicity.com. Thanks!
