Sea-Dog Line 830403-1 SD-53 Battery Disconnect with Circuit Breaker 60 Amp Marine

The Sea-Dog Line SD-53 Battery Disconnect with Circuit Breaker (830403-1) is a compact, 2-in-1 marine electrical component that combines a rotary battery disconnect switch and a circuit breaker into a single, space-saving unit. Designed for marine, RV, and powersports applications, this 60-amp device eliminates the need for separate switch and breaker components, reducing wiring complexity and installation cost.

Key Features:

• 2-in-1 design — integrates a rotary battery disconnect switch and circuit breaker in one compact package
• 60-amp continuous rating for branch circuit protection
• Maximum voltage: 42V DC
• IP67 ingress protection — fully sealed against dust and water immersion
• Ignition protected — compliant with ISO 8846, USCG, ABYC, UL1500, and SAE J1171 for safe use aboard gasoline-powered vessels
• Amperage Interrupt Capacity (AIC): 1.5kA/U3 @ 28VDC and 3kA/U3 @ 14VDC per ABYC (SAE J553 & UL1077)
• Meets ABYC E-11, SAE J553, and UL1077 interrupt capacity standards
• Small footprint — ideal for tight or close-quarters installations
• Prevents battery drain when switch is in the OFF position

The SD-53 simplifies marine electrical panel builds by consolidating two critical safety components into one certified unit, saving space, labor, and wiring costs. It is well-suited for boat branch circuit protection, trolling motor circuits, and auxiliary power systems.
