Sherwood neoprene impellers are engineered for excellent elasticity, allowing the vanes to snap back quickly for consistent water flow. The neoprene compound is suitable for engine cooling and fresh or saltwater transfer, and tolerates minor exposure to oil or diesel fuel. Impellers should be replaced at least once per year — or more frequently depending on engine duty cycle — to prevent overheating and premature engine wear. An impeller puller (part number SHR25105) is recommended for removal due to the threaded/splined keyway design.
