The Sherwood 27000K-SHW is a genuine OEM neoprene rubber impeller kit designed for Cummins diesel marine raw water pump applications, including the Cummins QSB5.9 and QSB6.9 engine series (cross-reference: 3974456). This complete maintenance kit contains everything needed to restore proper cooling system performance during routine service or repair.

Impeller Specifications:

  • Material: Neoprene (maximum temperature: 130°F)
  • Diameter: 3-5/16" (84 mm)
  • Width: 2-7/8" (73 mm)

  • Drive: Splined, 11-tooth — requires Sherwood Impeller Puller 25106 (M16-1.5) for removal
  • Shaft Size: 3/4"

Sherwood's neoprene compound provides excellent elasticity and long service life, ensuring reliable raw water flow and consistent pump performance. Sherwood recommends replacing impellers at least annually and inspecting them frequently for signs of abrasion or damage — a failed impeller can quickly lead to engine overheating and premature wear. During extended periods of inactivity, it is best practice to remove the impeller from the pump housing to prevent UV deterioration and vane set.

Ordered a battery. Price was good, paid for upgraded shipping, which was a waste. Battery arrived ok, but packaging was not dense and secure, especially given that this was a very heavy item.
