Product Details

Star Brite's Premium Type C Lower Unit Gear Lube (027332) is a high-performance marine lubricant engineered specifically for electric shift gear cases found in older Johnson, Evinrude, and OMC marine powertrains. This 32 oz bottle delivers reliable protection and meets the exacting fluid requirements of Type C gear case applications.

Key Features:

  • Specifically formulated for electric shift gear cases used on Johnson and Evinrude outboards (1962–1972)
  • Compatible with OMC sterndrives (1977 and earlier) and other Type C applications
  • Meets or exceeds OEM requirements — will not void manufacturers' warranty
  • Exceeds all engine manufacturers' specifications and is designed for the demanding marine environment
  • 32 oz (1 quart) bottle

This gear lube is the correct specification for vintage OMC electric shift lower units that require a Type C fluid — using the wrong fluid in these gear cases can cause serious damage. Star Brite 027332 ensures proper lubrication, wear protection, and long-term reliability for these legacy marine drivetrains.

I ordered Prop Speed PSLKIT Large 1 Liter Professional Marine Coating Kit but the chemicals inside got leakage that spill all over the box.

Nice tires

Super grateful you had the part. I searched other location and nobody had it in stock. You saved my bacon after the freezing temps. Will definitely shop here again and very fast delivery!

Received ahead of schedule. Beautiful product! Perfect fit as well. Thank you.
