CMP CMX01AL Aluminum Streamlined Shaft Anode 3/4" ID Saltwater

The CMP CMX01AL is an aluminum streamlined sacrificial shaft anode engineered to provide reliable cathodic protection for propeller shafts and rudders in salt and brackish water environments. As a sacrificial anode, it corrodes in place of the metal components it protects, effectively preventing galvanic corrosion on iron, steel, and aluminum boat hardware.

Key Features:

• Aluminum alloy construction — formulated to meet or exceed U.S. Military Specification MIL-A-24779(SH), ensuring consistent, high-purity performance
• Designed for salt and brackish water — aluminum alloy delivers greater electrochemical capacity and longer service life compared to zinc anodes in these environments
• Streamlined, hydrodynamic profile — reduces drag and turbulence on rotating propeller shafts
• Interlocking two-piece halves — clamp securely around the shaft for a tight, full-contact fit without requiring shaft removal
• Slotted stainless steel hardware included — fasteners feature red plastic retaining washers to prevent screws from dropping during installation
• Dimensions: 3/4 in. Inner Diameter × 2.04 in. Outer Diameter × 2 in. Height
• Not recommended for fresh water use — use magnesium alloy anodes for freshwater applications

Also known by cross-reference part numbers: X-1-AL, X1AL, X01AL, AMDX-1, SL-0750-ALU, C0750A. Manufactured by Canada Metal (Pacific) under the Martyr Anodes brand with ISO 9001 quality certification. An economical and proven solution for corrosion protection on propeller shafts, shaft brackets, stern tubes, and rudders.
