Pettit Paint 1112708 Urethane Reducer Slow Quart

The Pettit Paint Urethane Reducer Slow (Quart) is a professional-grade solvent designed to thin and condition Pettit urethane topcoat paints in warm or humid conditions. By slowing the evaporation rate of the coating, this reducer allows for extended open time during application, resulting in a smoother, more even finish with fewer brush marks or roller stippling.

Key Features:

• Formulated specifically for use with Pettit urethane topcoats and enamels
• Slow-evaporating formula ideal for high-temperature or high-humidity environments
• Extends wet-edge time for improved flow and leveling
• Helps eliminate brush marks and surface texture for a glass-smooth finish
• Suitable for brush, roller, or spray application methods
• Available in a convenient quart size for medium to large projects

Using the correct reducer is critical to achieving professional results with urethane marine topcoats. The slow formula is the right choice when ambient temperatures exceed approximately 70°F or when relative humidity is elevated, preventing the paint from flashing too quickly and ensuring proper adhesion and gloss retention. Always follow Pettit's application guidelines for correct reducer-to-paint ratios.
