CDI Electronics 18-99481 194-8736K1 Dual Voltage Regulator Rectifier Adapter Kit Mercury 6 Cyl 40 Amp

The CDI Electronics 194-8736K 1 (Sierra 18-99481) is a dual voltage regulator/rectifier conversion kit engineered for Mercury and Mariner 6-cylinder outboard engines equipped with 40-amp charging systems. This kit provides a modern, reliable replacement solution for the entire obsolete 18736 series of OEM voltage regulators, restoring proper battery charging and electrical system performance.

Kit Includes:

• Two (2) 194-5279R voltage regulators/rectifiers
• Dual-regulator mounting plate
• Gasket for proper sealing
• All necessary mounting hardware

Key Features:

• 40-amp output — matches the original charging system capacity
• Internal fusible link — reduces the risk of fire damage caused by a shorted voltage regulator
• Replaces the complete 18736 series, including Mercury OEM part numbers: 18736, 18736A 3, 18736A 8, 18736A14, 18736A15, 18736A20, and 18736A21
• Component of the 174-9610A18 Stator and Regulator Kit

Important Installation Note: This conversion kit requires a 4-yellow-wire stator (such as the 174-9610K2 or 398-9610). Connecting a 2-yellow-wire stator to one of the regulators will result in regulator failure.

Cross-Reference / OEM Part Numbers: 18-99481 (Sierra Marine), 18736, 18736A 3, 18736A 8, 18736A14, 18736A15, 18736A20, 18736A21 (Mercury Marine)
