The Bearing Buddy 43712 is a 2.717-inch stainless steel wheel bearing protector designed to replace standard dust caps and defend trailer hub bearings against water, dirt, and road debris. Engineered for boat, RV, utility, ATV, horse, and snowmobile trailers, this bearing protector system maintains a steady internal hub pressure to keep grease in and contaminants out.

A spring-loaded piston maintains approximately 3 PSI of pressure inside the hub, preventing water intrusion even when the hub is submerged — ideal for boat trailers regularly backed into the water. The built-in automatic pressure relief valve releases excess grease to protect seals from overpressurization and overfill damage. A blue visual indicator makes it easy to check grease levels at a glance: the indicator extends when the hub is properly filled and recedes when it's time to add grease.
