Swift Kompany 8710-1500 XD Flex 2 Single Relay Battery Switch w/ Knob, 500A

The Swift Kompany 8710-1500 is an XD Flex 2 single remote battery switch and relay. It is also called a battery disconnect relay or remote battery switch. It uses a bi-stable solenoid design and has a manual override knob. Tinned flying control wires make it suitable for marine, RV, automotive and other 12V/24V systems.

• 500A continuous capability in a sealed, compact unit, with a 1,600A rating for 30 seconds with dual 4/0 AWG cables
• Programmable via DIP switches under the protective cover. It can work as a relay or battery disconnect, a voltage-sensing relay, or a low voltage disconnect
• 3-position manual override knob forces the relay open or closed. You can leave the knob in either position to lock the relay on or off
• LED status indicator on the unit, with a remote LED output that mirrors the local indicator
• Remote ON/OFF/Auto inputs allow forced operation or automatic operation based on voltage sensing
• Auto-ranging input of 8–36 VDC for 12V and 24V systems
• Stainless steel studs and self-locking flanged nuts resist corrosion. Terminal stud torque is 120 in-lbs
• Integrated Gore-Tex vent regulates internal pressure and helps keep moisture out of the seals
• Protective cover included to shield the terminal studs and cable terminals from accidental shorts
• Expandable with link and cross-link busbars to add dual, triple or single XD relays for 2- or 3-battery systems

The compact bi-stable design takes up much less mounting space than traditional solenoids and remote battery switches. The sealed construction and integrated thermal overload protection allow mounting in demanding locations.
