Swift Kompany: Power Distribution and Battery Management Components
Swift Kompany is a line of heavy-duty electrical components built for managing power in vehicles, boats and equipment that run more than one battery. The range centers on three product families: XD Flex relay and switch modules, RT Series fuse blocks, and automatic charging relays (ACRs). Together they cover the basic jobs of a well-designed 12/24V electrical system: switching high current, protecting branch circuits and sharing charge between batteries.
XD Flex Switches and Relays
The XD Flex 2 modules, such as the Swift Kompany 8710-1500 single relay and the 8730-1939 triple module, are designed to combine several functions in one sealed unit. Instead of wiring two or three separate high-amp relays together with link cables, a dual or triple XD module can handle battery load switching and charge management in a compact package. Typical XD Series features include:
- Single, dual and triple circuit configurations
- Options for manual override, relay function, ACR operation or remote battery disconnect
- Sealed construction rated for harsh environments, including IP67 ingress protection on many models
- DIP-switch programmability so installers and OEMs can tailor each relay function
- Stainless steel cable lug studs and mounting holes sized for 1/4-20 or M6 hardware
Manual control knobs on some versions make it clear whether the relay has been forced on or off, which is useful for troubleshooting on the water or on the trail.
RT Series Fuse Blocks
Good circuit protection starts with a tidy, reliable fuse block. The RT Series blocks, including the 4-position 8045, the 6-position independent 8037 and the 8-position 8046, accept ATO/ATC-style blade fuses and are designed to support SAE circuit protection standards for thermal and short-circuit events. Many versions use stainless self-locking hardware that resists vibration, and some include latching clear covers with label recesses and LED blown-fuse indicators. When choosing a block, check the per-circuit and total block current ratings against your loads and wire gauge.
Automatic Charging Relays
An ACR connects a starting battery and a house battery when charging voltage is present, then separates them when it is not, so accessories cannot drain the battery you need to start the engine. Swift Kompany offers ACRs such as the Mini 125 amp unit (6601) and the dual auto 160A/12V unit (7610), giving builders options sized for light accessory banks up to larger dual-battery installs.
Choosing the Right Module
- Current rating: Match continuous and cranking current ratings to your largest loads.
- Voltage range: Confirm compatibility with 12V or 24V systems.
- Connection style: Decide between lugs, flying leads or connector-based versions.
- Expansion: Consider whether you may add batteries later and want modules that link together with busbars.
For marine, RV, fleet and off-road electrical projects, Swift Kompany components give installers a consistent family of parts for switching, protecting and charging multi-battery systems.
