3M Foam Ultrafine Polishing Pad Buffers & Polishers

The 3M Perfect-It Ultrafine Foam Polishing Pad line is made for the final polishing step of automotive paint finishing. These foam buffing pads, also called ultrafine foam polishing pads or finishing pads, are designed to remove fine polish swirls and holograms and leave a clean, high-gloss finish. This includes dark-colored paint, where swirl marks show up most.

Key Features:

• Ultrafine finishing action: Suited to the last step after compounding, where the goal is a refined, swirl-free surface.
• Designed to pair with 3M Perfect-It EX Ultrafine Machine Polish: Together they remove swirl marks and holograms for a sparkling final paint finish.
• Foam construction with a specially designed face: The face holds polish and helps prevent slinging during final finishing.
• Hookit hook-and-loop attachment: Pads attach to a compatible Hookit backup pad (sold separately), come off cleanly, and can be re-attached for fast change-outs.
• Single-sided foam pad: Works with a variety of rotary and random orbital polishers.
• Part of the 3M Perfect-It Paint Finishing System: Built for showroom-quality results in collision repair and detailing.

Foam pads cut less aggressively than wool pads and give a finer finish. That makes this line a good fit for professional body shops and serious detailers who want a smooth, reflective finish on freshly refinished or corrected paint.
