AP Gas Spring Strut Extended Length Lift Support

The AP Gas Spring Strut Extended Length Lift Support line offers gas-charged lift supports, also called gas struts, gas springs, or hood and trunk lifters. They hold hoods, trunk lids, tailgates, liftgates, and similar hinged panels open, and they help control how the panel opens and closes.

Key Features:

• Gas-charged cylinder and piston rod design that gives smooth, controlled lifting assistance
• Extended-length design that helps hold the panel in a fully open position
• End fittings designed for secure attachment to the mounting points
• Corrosion-resistant finish to help the part last in daily use and varied weather
• A direct-fit replacement for worn struts that no longer hold the panel up

Replacing worn lift supports restores hands-free access to the engine bay, cargo area, or trunk. It also reduces the strain of lifting heavy panels by hand. Installation is typically simple and needs only basic hand tools. Replace supports in pairs where two are used, so the panel lifts evenly.
