Groco Bronze Scoop Thru-Hull with Nut Seacocks

The Groco Bronze Scoop Thru-Hull with Nut is a marine scoop strainer and thru-hull fitting for raw water intake lines. It works with seacocks and ball valves below the waterline. The scoop design increases flow compared to a standard thru-hull. It suits engine cooling, generator, air conditioning and other raw water intake plumbing on boats.

Key Features:

• Cast C83600 bronze construction resists corrosion in marine environments.
• Scoop design helps prevent air locks in water-intake lines at high speeds. It keeps water flowing at low speeds and helps keep debris out at any speed.
• Integrated thru-hull fitting combines the scoop strainer and the thru-hull in one piece.
• NPSM/NPT combination thread lets the fitting work with common seacocks and valves.
• Includes mounting nut for the thru-hull.
• UL Listed 647B marine rating.

Installation Notes:

• Use sealant between the hull and the thru-hull flange.
• Secure the scoop to the hull with #8 zinc-plated screws. The screws are not included.

Groco, a brand of Gross Mechanical Laboratories, makes marine plumbing hardware. This scoop thru-hull is a durable, high-flow choice for raw water intake systems on powerboats and sailboats.
