Groco Bronze Engine Flush Kit and Safety Seacock Conversion Seacocks

The Groco SSC Series bronze engine flush kit and safety seacock conversion adds a quick-release service port to your raw water plumbing. You can use it for emergency bilge pumping, for winterizing, and for flushing the engine cooling system. It works as an engine flush kit, a safety seacock conversion, or a seacock adapter.

Key Features:

• Bronze construction: a full-flow bronze valve body made for marine raw water systems.
• Quick-release plug: an O-ring sealed side port with a twist-lock plug, so you can open it with a quarter turn and a straight pull.
• Emergency bilge pumping: with the engine running, close the seacock and remove the plug. The engine's raw water pump then draws excess bilge water and pumps it overboard.
• Winterization: close the seacock, remove the plug, and insert the included service adaptor. You can then pump antifreeze into the cooling system through a hose.
• Cooling system flushing: close the seacock and insert the service adaptor. You can then flush the system with dockside water while the engine idles.
• Service adaptor included: the bronze adaptor connects a garden hose for flushing and winterizing.
• Safety design: the plug cannot be removed while the valve handle is open, which helps prevent accidental flooding.

Groco's SSC Series lets you convert an existing seacock to safety seacock operation without replacing a working valve. It is usually installed on top of a seacock or on the outlet side of a raw water strainer. For maintenance, remove the plug periodically and lubricate the O-rings. The series comes in a range of pipe and hose sizes, so you can match it to your raw water plumbing.
