Dexter Marine Products Kodiak Stainless Steel Disc Brake Kit

The Kodiak by Dexter Stainless Steel Disc Brake Kit is a marine-grade trailer disc brake conversion. It is built for boat trailers and other trailers that see salt, spray and frequent immersion. Each kit uses stainless steel rotors, calipers and mounting brackets, so it resists rust and corrosion in harsh environments.

Key Features:

• All-stainless construction: The rotors, calipers and mounting brackets are stainless steel for corrosion protection in salt water use.
• Slip-on rotor design: The rotors fit over compatible Dexter hubs and are held in place by the wheel bolts, which keeps installation straightforward.
• Vented rotors: The vented design helps dissipate heat and reduces the risk of heat-related damage and brake fade.
• Stainless steel calipers: The rigid caliper construction limits flex, and the corrosion-resistant piston gives smooth, even braking.
• Matched components: The rotors, calipers, brackets and brake pads are matched, which gives consistent braking performance.
• Low maintenance: A disc caliper has fewer moving parts than a drum brake, so there is less to maintain, wear out or replace.

Disc brakes give consistent braking at highway speeds and shorter stopping distances than drum brakes. This makes the Kodiak kit a good upgrade for boat trailer owners who want dependable stopping power and long service life. Dexter recommends using genuine Dexter or Kodiak by Dexter hubs with Kodiak rotor kits.
