Wichard Captive Pin Long D Shackle Stainless Steel Shackles

The Wichard Captive Pin Long D Shackle is a forged stainless steel long D shackle (also called a long reach shackle) with a pin that stays attached to the body. It suits marine rigging, sailboat hardware and industrial attachment points. The longer inside length gives more room than a standard D shackle for blocks, sails, lines and other fittings.

Key Features:

• Captive pin design: The pin stays connected to the shackle body even when unscrewed, so it can't be dropped overboard or lost.
• Self-locking pin: The pin head seats in an indentation in the shackle body. This helps keep the pin from backing out under vibration.
• One-handed operation: You can open and close the shackle with one hand, which helps when working aloft or on deck.
• Forged 316L stainless steel: Marine-grade construction resists corrosion and wears well in harsh environments.
• Strong working and breaking loads: Each size is rated for demanding rigging and attachment use.
• Extra length: The longer opening is useful where a standard D shackle is too short.
