Beckson Marine Screw-Out Deck Plate with Clear Center

The Beckson Marine Screw-Out Deck Plate with Clear Center is a watertight inspection port and access plate for boats. It is also called a screw-out deck plate, inspection hatch or deck access plate. It opens by hand with no tools, and it gives you access to tanks, compartments, shut-off valves and back-fastenings.

Key Features:

• Tool-free access: The plate threads in and out by hand.
• Buttress thread: The single-start thread is extra strong and self-cleaning. It is designed not to jam or cross-thread, so the cover closes reliably.
• Clear center: You can check gauges, controls or tank contents through the clear center without removing the plate.
• Watertight seal: A self-aligning center and a gasket seal the plate against water.
• Back-up sealing wall: A structural sealing wall keeps the plate water resistant even if the gasket is removed.
• Marine-grade construction: The plate is molded from marine-grade plastic for use in a marine environment.

A screw-out plate is a good choice for compartments where air pressure can change with temperature or where oil canning can occur. Typical uses include storage access, inspection, and clean-out of tanks and compartments. It is made by Beckson Marine, a long-time maker of deck and access plates.
