Rupes Usa D-A Coarse Foam Polishing Pad Blue

The Rupes BigFoot D-A Coarse Blue Foam Polishing Pad is a firm, high-performance cutting pad. It is the most aggressive foam option in the BigFoot D-A pad family. It is built for fast defect removal on random orbital and gear-driven orbital polishers. Detailers also know it as a coarse foam cutting pad or compounding pad.

Key Features:

• Aggressive cutting action: Removes moderate to severe defects from most paint systems when paired with Rupes D-A Coarse compound.
• Open-cell foam: The proprietary foam has large open cells that run cool and create minimal drag on the paint surface.
• Dual-tool design: It works with both large-throw random orbital polishers and gear-driven orbital polishers.
• Contoured edge: The edge improves pad stability and gives more control on curves and varied surfaces.
• Hook-and-loop backing: The pad attaches to compatible backing plates for quick changes.
• Italian construction: Rupes designs, manufactures and packages the pads in-house in Italy.

The pad also cuts effectively on marine gelcoat, and it leaves a clean finish that is ready for a follow-up polishing step. For best results, prime the pad with compound before use. Avoid solvent-based cleaners, which can damage the foam structure.
