Uflex Pinion Steering System with Helm

The Uflex Pinion Steering System with Helm is a mechanical rack and pinion boat steering package. It suits replacement steering on boats with limited clearance behind the dash. Rack and pinion steering is a compact alternative to rotary cable steering. It works well with power-assisted sterndrives and other applications with low rudder torque.

Key Features:

• Compact rack and pinion design for tight dash spaces
• Stainless steel cable output ends
• Corrosion-resistant materials throughout
• Standard 3/4" tapered shaft helm
• Mounting bezel included with the kit
• Anti-feedback Zero Torque helm options reduce the continuous load on the operator caused by propeller torque
• Designed to meet or exceed ABYC P17 and EN/ISO 8848 safety standards
• Steering wheel is typically ordered separately

Uflex has built marine steering and control systems for decades. The helm, bezel and preassembled cable arrive ready to install, which makes the system a straightforward upgrade for worn or outdated steering. Choose the option that matches your boat's cable length and helm needs.
