Uflex USA: A Leader in Marine Steering & Control Systems

Uflex USA, headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, is one of the most respected names in the marine industry. Established in 1989, Uflex USA has grown into a leader in steering and control systems for the marine industry, with full manufacturing capabilities in Sarasota, Florida that allow the brand to support all sectors of the marine market regardless of volume or product requirements. As an affiliate of the Ultraflex Group, Uflex USA has vast resources to draw upon for new product developments in hydraulics, electronics, and many other technologies.

Engineered for the Water

The brand's comprehensive inventory encompasses top-of-the-line hydraulic and mechanical steering systems, electronic control systems, steering wheels, trim tabs, hatch lifters, and many more products designed to ensure your boat looks and performs at its best. Trusted by leading boat manufacturers and marine professionals, Uflex USA solutions are designed to withstand harsh saltwater environments while providing reliable, maintenance-friendly operation.

At the core of the Uflex lineup is its industry-leading hydraulic steering range. Uflex offers mechanical cable steering systems, hydraulic steering systems for larger vessels, and electronic steering solutions designed for modern boats — each option built to provide smooth, reliable control depending on boat size and performance needs. For boaters looking to upgrade their existing setup, Uflex also offers comprehensive hydraulic steering assist kits that simplify the conversion process considerably.

The Uflex Hytech package, for example, features a clever mounting system that allows installation of a front-mount outboard cylinder without removing the engine — using a split tilt tube design that simplifies installation, with the cylinder suspended in front of the engine and oil directed from the hydraulic helm moving the engine in the corresponding direction. The system is suitable for up to 175 hp installations.

Beyond Hydraulics: A Complete Control Ecosystem

From steering wheels to levers, to steering cables, and much more, Uflex offers premium quality parts and components that are built to withstand harsh marine environments and maintain their integrity for years to come. The brand's steering parts and accessories catalog covers everything from helms and hose kits to oil and hardware, making Uflex a one-stop shop for outfitting or refurbishing your boat's steering system.

When existing components wear out, Uflex's extensive lineup of replacement cables offers a reliable, direct-fit solution. Uflex is known for reliable mechanical and hydraulic steering systems, cables, and components that deliver smooth, precise performance across a wide range of boat sizes and engine configurations.

For smaller vessels and outboard-powered skiffs, Uflex's tiller steering products offer another dimension of control. Today's four-stroke outboard engines generate high torque loads which can make tiller-steered boats difficult to handle — but the Uflex ZTF (Zero Torque Feedback) Tiller systems are engineered to address exactly this challenge.
