Martyr Anodes Engine Cooling System Zinc Pencil Anode with Brass Plug Anodes/Zincs

Martyr Anodes Engine Cooling System Zinc Pencil Anodes with brass plugs protect marine engines and their cooling systems from galvanic corrosion. Installed in the raw-water side of the engine, heat exchanger, or cooling system, the zinc pencil anode (also called a pencil zinc or engine zinc) corrodes in place of more valuable metal components.

Key Features:

• Zinc anode element sacrifices itself to protect cast iron, aluminum, bronze and other metals in the cooling system
• Brass plug threads into the engine, heat exchanger, or manifold port for a secure installation
• Pencil-style design works with raw-water cooling circuits on many inboard and sterndrive engines
• Made to be inspected and replaced as part of routine marine maintenance
• Multiple variants are available in this product line to suit different engine and cooling system requirements

Check pencil anodes regularly and replace them when they are significantly eroded. Doing so helps prevent corrosion damage, extends the life of expensive cooling system components, and reduces the risk of overheating. Select the child item that matches your engine's thread and length requirements.
