JR Race Car Hardline Black Nitride Shaft Gas Spring

The JR Race Car Hardline Black Nitride Shaft Gas Spring line gives you the proven reliability of a standard JR Products SPD gas spring plus a nitride-treated shaft. These gas springs (also called gas struts or lift supports) hold up and assist hatches, doors, lids, panels and access covers in automotive, marine, RV and racing use.

Key Features:

• Nitride-coated steel rod: A strong annealed steel rod with a nitride coating adds corrosion resistance.
• Black appearance: The overall black finish suits applications where looks matter as much as function.
• Composite end fitting compatibility: Corrosion resistance is especially good when the spring is paired with the all-composite PS130 end fitting.
• Consistent gas-charged lift: The spring supplies smooth, controlled force to raise and hold a load.
• Range of options: The line is offered in a range of lengths, force ratings and end fittings, so you can match the spring to your application.

Choosing a replacement: If you already have a gas spring installed, measure the extended length from center mounting hole to center mounting hole. Then measure how much of the piston rod is exposed when extended (the stroke). Choose the model whose extended length is closest to your current unit.

This line suits builders and owners who want durable, corrosion-resistant lift support with a clean black look.
