Fireboy Engine Shutdown System Circuit Diesel Fire Suppression

The Fireboy Engine Shutdown System is an automatic engine shutdown (engine kill) system for diesel-powered boats. It works with Fireboy fire suppression systems. Compressed gas extinguishing agents such as FK-5-1-12 and HFC-227ea will not stall a running diesel engine. The engine can also draw the agent out of the engine compartment through its air intake. That lowers the concentration needed to put out the fire. Shutting the engine down when the system discharges helps the agent work as intended and reduces the risk of re-ignition.

Key Features:

• Responds automatically when a linked Fireboy suppression system discharges
• Shutdown control module paired with a helm-mounted display unit
• Helm display includes an integrated alarm horn, charged/discharged indicator lights and an override switch for restart or control of auto-shutdown
• Relay-controlled shutdown circuits for engines and related equipment
• Solid-state circuitry for dependable operation in the marine environment
• Available in different circuit configurations to suit single-engine and multi-engine installations

Automatic engine shutdown is a key safety component for diesel vessels with a fixed fire suppression system in the engine space. Fireboy-Xintex is a well-known name in marine fire safety.
