Shields Hose Blue Series 262 Silicone Marine Exhaust Hose 12.5 Feet

Shields Hose Blue Series 262 Nautiflex corrugated silicone marine exhaust hose is a wire-reinforced wet exhaust hose. It is built for the heat and abuse of marine engine exhaust, and it also works as generator exhaust hose, engine coolant circulation hose, and engine or generator water intake hose. The blue silicone tube and cover have a smooth finish that looks good and wipes clean easily.

Key Features:

• Two-ply construction: a wire helix is captured between fabric plies for strength and durability.
• Wire reinforced: the hose resists collapsing under suction or in a bend.
• Corrugated cover: the hose bends easily, which makes it simpler to route and install.
• High-temperature rating: -20°F to +350°F, and stable at elevated temperatures. This suits turbocharged engines.
• Chemical and weather resistance: resists exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze and salt water.
• Standards: meets SAE J2006 Type R2 and ISO 13362:2004 Type 1 Class B.

The higher temperature rating compared with standard corrugated exhaust hose helps resist cracking and dry rot. This makes Series 262 a long-lasting choice for wet exhaust and cooling water plumbing on boats.
