Camp Zinc Pencil Anode

The Camp Zinc Pencil Anode (also called a marine engine pencil zinc) is a sacrificial zinc anode. It protects marine engines and their cooling systems from galvanic corrosion and electrolysis. The zinc corrodes in place of the more valuable metal parts it protects. This extends the life of the cooling system.

Typical Uses: Pencil zincs protect engines, heat exchangers, water jackets, pipes and condensers. Replace them routinely to extend the life of the engine coolant system. Inspect anodes often to confirm they still work. Do not paint them. Anodes subject to cavitation decay faster.
