The New England Ropes 3-Strand Mooring Pendant (also called a mooring pennant) connects your boat to its mooring buoy. It is made from premium 3-strand, high-grade marine nylon, the line the company built its name on. The pendant is designed to resist chafe and absorb the shock loads a mooring system sees.

Key Features:

• 100% high-tenacity 3-strand nylon is long-wearing and abrasion resistant. It has excellent elongation, which helps cushion shock loads.
• A heavy-duty galvanized thimble is factory-spliced into the buoy end.
• A soft eye is professionally spliced into the boat end.
• An optional Cordura chafe sleeve can be added for extra abrasion resistance.

New England Ropes recommends placing a swivel at the buoy. It helps prevent the rope from twisting, which can cause hockles or leave the rope out of lay. Each pendant is spliced and finished by a respected American rope maker, so it is ready to install on your mooring.
