New England Ropes Cyclone Mooring Pendant

The New England Ropes Cyclone Mooring Pendant is a high-strength, low-stretch mooring pendant (also called a mooring pennant or storm pendant). It is built from Endura 12 rope, a 12-strand construction made from Dyneema® SK75 fiber. The fiber gives the pendant very high tensile strength and ultra-low elongation.

The Cyclone was developed with Nantucket Moorings and MIT. It is designed to be used with a traditional nylon mooring pendant. The Cyclone provides low stretch and abrasion resistance at the chock, and the nylon provides stretch in the standing part of the line to absorb shock and protect your hardware. The combination suits boats from runabouts to megayachts.
