New England Ropes Mooring Pendant with Thimble

The New England Ropes Mooring Pendant with Thimble (also called a mooring pennant) connects your boat to a mooring buoy. It is built to resist chafe and absorb the shock loads a mooring system puts on the line. Each pendant is factory-finished and ready to install.

Key Features:

• Poly/nylon double-braid construction: a nylon core gives stretch and elasticity. A tough polyester cover adds abrasion resistance.
• Yellow marine coating: a thick yellow-tinted coating improves abrasion resistance and makes the pendant easy to see on the water.
• Heavy-duty thimble: a factory-spliced thimble on the buoy end protects the rope and gives a secure attachment point.
• Soft eye splice: a professionally spliced soft eye on the boat end makes a dependable connection.
• Cordura chafe sleeve: a durable sleeve adds protection at wear points.
• Made in the USA: New England Ropes makes its mooring pendants in the USA.

The shock-absorbing nylon core reduces peak loads on your boat's deck hardware and mooring tackle. This makes the pendant a dependable choice for seasonal and permanent moorings. New England Ropes recommends using a swivel at the buoy to help prevent twisting of the rope.
