Keel Guard Protector

The Keel Guard Protector line is a self-adhesive boat keel protector (also called a keel guard or hull protector). It shields the keel of your boat from abrasion and impact damage. Wear on the keel can break down the gelcoat finish. That can let water reach the fiberglass laminates underneath. A keel guard helps stop that damage before it starts.

Key Features:

• Abrasion protection: Guards against abrasive sand, rocks, concrete boat ramps and oyster beds.
• Durable polymer construction: Made from a blend of polymers and urethanes. This gives the protector both toughness and flexibility.
• Conforms to the hull: The pliable material follows the shape of the keel. Contoured edges create a clean, tight seal.
• Hydrodynamic design: Angled grooves form channels that reduce drag, so the protector does not hurt boat performance.
• 3M adhesive: A pressure-sensitive 3M adhesive bonds the protector and seals it to the hull.
• DIY installation: Designed for do-it-yourself installation. No special tools or professional help should be needed.

Protecting the keel helps preserve your boat's appearance, structural integrity and resale value. It can also help you avoid costly fiberglass repairs. It suits boaters who trailer, beach or launch from ramps.
