Dorsett Carpet BM50S 50A Stainless Steel Shore Power Inlet with Cover

The Dorsett Carpet BM50S is a 50 amp, 125/250 volt stainless steel boatside shore power inlet with a stainless steel cover. It is also called a 50A power inlet or boat-side inlet assembly. It is the SmartPlug-style inlet, and it connects the boat's AC system to dockside power. It works with 3-wire (125V) or 4-wire (250V) service in a single inlet.

Key Features:

• Rated 50A, 125/250V: Handles 3-wire or 4-wire configurations.
• Better conductivity: Larger pin and clip surface area gives about 20 times more electrical contact area than twist-type connectors. This reduces the overheating seen with those connectors under high amperage loads.
• Push-in design: It needs no twisting. The plug body shape lets it go in only one way, even in the dark.
• Multi-point locking: Side clips lock the plug into the inlet and take stress off the pins when the power cord moves.
• Weather-resistant seals: Multi-fin silicone gaskets in the cover and plug body keep moisture out.
• Stainless steel construction: The inlet and cover are stainless steel for marine use.
• Simple installation: The mounting flange holes match those of twist-type inlets. This allows a swap-in replacement that typically takes about 30 minutes.

This inlet and cover assembly is a durable, easy-to-use upgrade for boat shore power connections.
