Stromberg Carlson RV Chair and Bike Rack
Stromberg Carlson RV Chair & Bike Racks: Campsite-Ready Carrying Solutions
When it comes to hauling the gear that makes a campsite feel like home, few names carry more weight in the RV aftermarket than Stromberg Carlson. A third-generation, family-owned company that has been serving the needs of the RV aftermarket since 1959, Stromberg Carlson brings decades of purpose-built engineering to every product they design — and their RV chair and bike rack lineup is a prime example of that philosophy in action.
The Problem Every RV Camper Knows
Relaxing in a larger, comfortable RV chair is great, but transporting them with limited storage is difficult. The same goes for bikes: carrying them safely on the road without rattles, sway, or ladder obstruction requires hardware that's been designed specifically for the RV environment — not just adapted from generic automotive accessories. Stromberg Carlson engineers their products with exactly these real-world challenges in mind.
The LA-104 Ladder Mount Chair Rack
The flagship of Stromberg Carlson's chair-carrying solutions is the Model LA-104 RV Ladder Chair Rack. The RV Ladder Chair Rack by Stromberg easily carries your chairs to the campsite or seasonal lot, with a strap-and-buckle system that secures your chairs as you travel the highways. Thoughtful design details set this rack apart from the competition: it does not rattle, and allows traffic to the roof by simply pulling the pins to swing the storage arms out of the way.
Key specs that matter to serious RVers include:
- Made of aluminum for a corrosion-resistant, lightweight build
- Rack arms with a 7.5" span to safely cradle a variety of chair sizes
- A weight capacity of 50 lbs to handle even oversized camp chairs
- Designed to attach to 1" round ladder tubing, fitting the most common RV ladder profiles
- Ships complete with all hardware included
A Brand Built on RV-Specific Engineering
What makes Stromberg Carlson stand out in the crowded world of RV accessories is the company's singular focus: everything they build is purpose-designed for RV life. Their inventory includes RV handrails, ladders, bike racks, leveling systems, fifth wheel tailgates, and more — all developed by people who understand the unique structural, weight, and usability demands of motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels. Their chair and bike rack products aren't afterthoughts — they're part of a holistic RV carrying system. The Two Bike Platform Mount Carrier, for example, is designed to fit a 2" receiver on your motorhome, travel trailer, or fifth wheel.
