Two Flagship Chart Lines: Navionics+ and Platinum+
Navionics organizes its physical chart card lineup around two core tiers, each designed to match a different level of navigational demand.
- Navionics+ — Navionics+ offers the best value and the widest database of marine and lakes content within Nautical Chart, SonarChart™, and Community Edits, and it offers daily updates and advanced features for one year. This cartography provides integrated offshore and inland marine mapping content with rivers, bays, and lakes.
- Platinum+ — Built on Navionics+ cartography, it combines detailed offshore and inland mapping with relief shading, satellite imagery, 3D views, and real-time SonarChart™ Live mapping for confident navigation above and below the waterline. All the same marine and lakes content and advanced features found in Navionics+ are augmented with satellite overlay, 3D View, and panoramic photos to provide the ultimate situational awareness — designed with the most demanding boaters and serious anglers in mind.
SonarChart™: Community-Powered Depth Intelligence
The technology that truly sets Navionics electronic charts apart is SonarChart™. SonarChart is an HD bathymetry map featuring extraordinary bottom contour detail for marine and lakes, excellent for increasing awareness of shallow waters and for locating fishing areas at any depth level — and it is constantly enhanced by sonar logs contributed by boaters. Utilizing innovative proprietary systems, Navionics creates 1-foot (0.5 m) bathymetry charts that incorporate sonar data shared by the boating community.
Anglers and performance boaters can take this even further with SonarChart™ Live. Use your plotter/sonar or mobile device to create personal 1 ft/0.5 m HD bathymetry maps in real time with SonarChart Live. The result is an ever-improving, crowd-sourced depth picture that grows more accurate every time someone goes out on the water.
Daily Updates and Plotter Sync
Static charts become outdated quickly — Navionics addresses this head-on. Navionics makes up to 5,000 updates to its global charts per day. A one-year subscription is included with the purchase of a Navionics+ or Platinum+ chart card, offering a quick-and-easy way to access unlimited daily chart updates via the Navionics Chart Installer, or using the Plotter Sync feature in the Navionics® Boating smart device app.
Plotter Sync allows Raymarine, Lowrance, Simrad, and B&G plotter owners to transfer routes and markers, update charts, and more. You can also use the popular Navionics Boating app for off-boat planning, chart updates, and data synchronization with compatible displays.
Community Edits: Local Knowledge at Scale
Navionics charts are constantly updated with new and amended content from official hydrographic sources, public and private surveys, and millions of contributions from boaters. You can also see notes, reviews, and recommendations left by other users in a "Community Edits" layer that you simply toggle on or off. This crowdsourced intelligence makes Navionics charts uniquely self-improving — the more people who use them, the better they get.
Broad Chartplotter Compatibility
Navionics offers SonarChart Live and high-resolution relief shading along with detailed offshore and inland marine mapping content with rivers, bays, and tens of thousands of inland waterways. Chart cards are compatible with a wide range of leading chartplotter brands and are delivered on standard SD or microSD media, ready to slot into your existing hardware. Whether you're navigating the U.S. coasts, Great Lakes, or international waters, Navionics mapping offers integrated marine content that details coastal features plus thousands of rivers, bays, and lakes around the world.
