Prest-O-Fit

About Prest-O-Fit Manufacturing

Few brands in the RV accessories world can trace their roots back to a single, genuinely useful invention the way Prest-O-Fit can. Founded in 1980 by J. David Prest Sr., a master plumber from Yuma, Arizona, the company was born out of a real problem RVers faced every day: securely connecting a sewer hose to the wildly varying sizes of campground sewer openings found across North America. Prest's solution was a patented universal RV sanitation adapter, and with that one product — assembled with his wife Shirley out of the back of his plumbing shop — a company was born.

Over the following decades, Prest-O-Fit grew from that single fitting into an industry-leading supplier of RV accessories, expanding its catalog to nearly one hundred products sold throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. The brand's philosophy has always centered on identifying the practical, everyday challenges that RV owners face and engineering smart, durable solutions to meet them head-on.

Step Up Your RV Entry Game

Today, Prest-O-Fit is perhaps best known for its industry-leading line of RV Step Rugs. Entry steps are one of the most frequently used — and most overlooked — parts of any RV. A quality step rug improves traction, reduces dirt tracked inside, and protects the step surface itself from wear. Prest-O-Fit's Trailhead series, designed to wrap snugly around both straight and curved steps, has become a go-to choice for owners of MORryde StepAbove and Lippert Solid Step systems. Their Step Hugger line offers a tailored fit for RV landings and stair treads in a range of sizes to accommodate virtually any coach configuration.

Complementing the step rug lineup, Prest-O-Fit also produces a full range of Trailer Steps accessories, making it easy to outfit entry points on travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes alike. Whether you're replacing worn step hardware or upgrading an older setup, the brand offers thoughtfully designed solutions built to handle the repetitive demands of life on the road.

Rugs and Mats Built for the Outdoor Life

Beyond the entry steps, Prest-O-Fit brings the same practical ingenuity to its RV Outdoor Mats collection. The Aero-Weave series features breathable polyester construction with a PVC coating, allowing air and light moisture to pass through rather than pool on the surface — a thoughtful design detail that any camper who's dealt with a soggy patio mat will appreciate. Outdoor patio rugs in the lineup use UV-resistant synthetic fibers, marine-grade backing to keep ground moisture from wicking upward, reinforced corners, and fray-proof edges. Aluminum grommets allow for easy stake-down, so even a breezy campsite won't send your mat across the campground.

Broad Trailer Accessories for the Full RV Lifestyle

Rounding out the brand's core offerings is a selection of Trailer Parts & Accessories that address the miscellaneous but essential needs of trailer owners. From sewer and sanitation fittings — the product category that started it all — to interior accent rugs sized specifically for the tight floor plans of RV living spaces, Prest-O-Fit covers a wide swath of the RV lifestyle in one cohesive catalog.

For RV enthusiasts who want accessories designed by people who genuinely understand life on the road, Prest-O-Fit's four-decades-long track record speaks for itself. Their products aren't built for the showroom floor — they're built for thousands of miles of highway and hundreds of nights at the campsite.
