Wise Seating

About Wise Seating

Since 1961, when Charles W. Wise founded The Wise Company, Inc. in Savannah, Tennessee, Wise Seating has grown into one of the most recognized and trusted names in marine and multi-industry seating. As the largest boat seat manufacturer in the U.S., Wise operates over a million square feet of facilities across southern North America. That kind of scale doesn't come from cutting corners — it comes from decades of consistent craftsmanship and a loyal customer base that has stood behind the brand generation after generation.

A Legacy of Quality Manufacturing

Charles W. Wise established his company with the intention of manufacturing boat furniture, seat assemblies, pedestals, and related components and accessories. Over the ensuing decades, the brand expanded well beyond its marine roots. Besides producing high-quality boat seats for fishing, sailing, and other pleasure marine vessels, the company also excels in making durable and reliable seating solutions for trucks, farm machinery, forklifts, road service equipment, emergency vehicles, golf carts, and unique custom-built vehicles. This versatility across industries is a testament to the engineering depth behind every Wise product.

As the industry's top supplier of original equipment seating for many leading boat brands, Wise's quality standards pass the test across all of their marine seats. Wise has a commitment to constructing high-quality products without cutting corners, and has been so successful doing so that many of their customers and employees have stayed with the brand for decades.

Marine Seating Built for the Water

The company offers an extensive assortment of traditional casting, fold-down, molded, and padded fishing seats, offshore and inshore captain and helm chairs, bucket seats, swing-back coolers with upholstered lid cushions, backrests, and premium-quality jump and lounge seats. Whether you're outfitting a bass boat, a center console, or a pontoon, Wise has a seating solution engineered for that environment.

One of Wise's most popular product lines is their Bench & Swingback Seats, which bring versatile, space-efficient comfort to a wide range of marine vessels. For boaters who want a complete, ready-to-install solution, Seat & Pedestal Packages pair compatible seating with properly matched mounting hardware — taking the guesswork out of upgrades. And for those helming larger vessels, Wise's Pilot Chairs offer the elevated comfort and structural support demanded by a day at the helm.

Materials and Construction

The line of deluxe furniture for pontoons, yachts, and large motorboats is upholstered in premium-quality soft marine-grade vinyl that is UV- and mildew-resistant, with ergonomically designed removable cushions padded with high-compression, weather-resistant foam. These aren't just comfort features — they're engineering choices that extend the life of the seating in demanding freshwater and saltwater environments.

Wise marine seating offers reliable, high-performance boat seats trusted by anglers nationwide, designed for comfort, safety, and long-lasting durability — giving boaters a stable, comfortable platform to fish, navigate, or relax on the water.
