The B & S Anodes BSM312SL is a hand-poured, mil-spec zinc anode designed to protect propeller shafts and other critical underwater components from galvanic corrosion in saltwater applications. This streamlined zinc collar fits on the propeller shaft of inboard motors and helps combat electrolysis.

  • Crafted from zinc alloy meeting Military Specification MIL-A-18001K with hand-poured construction for higher porosity and more even erosion
  • Supplied with stainless steel allen head bolts for secure mounting
  • 3-1/2 inch shaft diameter streamline design
  • Designed specifically for saltwater use where zinc anodes are most effective
  • Made in the USA on Long Island

As a sacrificial anode, this zinc protects vital boat parts like propellers and shafts from saltwater corrosion by corroding in place of critical metals. Replace your anodes when they appear to be half their original size, typically every 6-month season.
