Centek's fiberglass thru-hull with flapper valve is designed for marine exhaust applications. Thru-hull fittings with flaps are designed to impede water backflow into the exhaust system and engine when stopped, moving slowly or backing down. Reverse water flow can cause severe damage if it enters the engine.
