Megaware KeelGuard 27321 SkegGuard Stainless Steel Skeg Protector for Yamaha Outboards

The Megaware SkegGuard 27321 is a dual-purpose marine skeg protector that both shields your outboard motor's skeg from damage and can serve as a replacement for an already broken skeg. Constructed from 18-gauge, mirror-polished 316 marine-grade stainless steel, it delivers long-lasting corrosion resistance and a clean, custom look on the water.

The SkegGuard's profile is precision-formed to conform closely to your lower unit, ensuring no discernible drag or loss of performance after installation. A 3mm reinforced wear tab along the bottom edge provides heavy-duty protection at the skeg's most vulnerable point, guarding against ramp dragging, submerged rocks, stumps, and hidden debris.

Key Features:

• 18-gauge 316 marine-grade stainless steel construction for maximum durability and corrosion resistance
• Mirror-polished finish for a long-lasting, professional appearance
• 3mm reinforced lower wear tab protects the most vulnerable area of the skeg from ramp dragging and underwater hazards
• Drain hole on the bottom prevents water from collecting, reducing the risk of corrosion and freeze damage
• Installs with as little as 2–3 inches of skeg remaining — ideal for broken skeg repair
• Secured with self-locking hardware; installs in under 10 minutes with common tools
• Conforms to your lower unit with no compromise to performance or handling
• Backed by a 3-year limited warranty from date of purchase

Whether you're protecting a healthy skeg or repairing a damaged one, the SkegGuard 27321 is a cost-effective alternative to expensive welding and lower unit replacement. All hardware needed for installation is included.
