The Martyr Anodes CMEZ1 is a replacement zinc pencil anode designed for engine cooling systems on marine vessels. This sacrificial anode protects vital engine components from galvanic corrosion by attracting corrosive action away from metal parts in contact with seawater or brackish water.

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: 1/2" diameter x 2" length
  • Zinc alloy construction for saltwater applications
  • Pencil-style anode without brass plug (plug sold separately)
  • Direct replacement for worn or depleted cooling system anodes
  • Helps prevent costly damage to engine blocks, heat exchangers, and cooling passages

This is the anode element only and does not include the brass plug fitting. Regular inspection and replacement of sacrificial anodes is essential for maintaining proper corrosion protection in marine engine cooling systems. Replace when anode material is depleted by 50% or shows significant deterioration.
